New Additions to the HAI-DEF Collection

This May, we expanded our suite of models with two exciting new offerings: MedGemma 27B Multimodal and MedSigLIP.

MedGemma 27B Multimodal

The MedGemma 27B Multimodal model enhances the capabilities of our previously released 4B Multimodal and 27B text-only models. It offers advanced support for interpreting complex multimodal and longitudinal electronic health records, making it a powerful tool for healthcare analytics and decision-making.

MedSigLIP

The MedSigLIP model serves as a lightweight image and text encoder tailored for classification, search, and related tasks. Drawing on the same foundational technology as the MedGemma models, it excels in imaging tasks with structured outputs, such as classification and data retrieval.

Applications of MedGemma and MedSigLIP

Both MedGemma and MedSigLIP stand as strong entry points for medical research and product development. MedGemma is particularly beneficial for tasks requiring the generation of free text, including report generation or visual question-answering. Conversely, MedSigLIP is ideal for imaging-related applications with structured outputs.

Both models are optimized for performance, allowing them to run on a single GPU, and the MedGemma 4B and MedSigLIP can even be adapted for mobile hardware.
